Hello,
I am a collage student in the S.F Bay area. I was thinking of working as a valet parking driver over the weekends. Is this a good paying job? Does anyone have any opennings in the northern California area?
Thank you

I worked as a valet parking driver for about 3 months last summer in the N.Y area. If you are working for businesses such as a restaurant the tips are not that impressive. The best place is to work for are parties or wedding events. The pay was about $14.00/hour including the tips. Not bad for a summer job.

Parties are among the worst possibly jobs for valets, the guest believe the service is paid for, which it is and think that they need not tip. It is even worse at weddings where they have a cash bar, you can get totally screwed at those events.

Usually if you get paid cash from comission + the tips you do pretty good for a 7 or 5 hour job. There r the good days when u make $130 just tips and the bad days when u make $10. Best places r country clubs, and weddings. In general you make around $60-$120 a night
