When it comes to valet parking most valet businesses like to work
at an hourly rate although a service contract is drawn up for the
entire event. For example, a company might charge $15 per attendant
per hour. If you estimate that your event will last for roughly
8 hours then the cost for two attendants will be two hundred and
forty dollars. Some companies will also offer to take care of such
considerations as parking permits, signage and event permits, directorial
signs, barricades, the rental of parking lots,
carts, bike racks, etc…
The total cost for engaging the a valet parking service to handle
the parking at you next event will depend entirely on the company
with whom you are dealing, your parking needs and what you decide.
Most valet companies will also give you the option of prepaying
the tip so that the attendants will politely decline any tips offered
to them by guests. Generally if you do this, the tip is based on
a percentage of the total cost of the service contract.
Although it may seem like a lot of money the convenience it affords
your guests and the prestige that it gives your event are worth
it. Not only will your guests be grateful at not having to find
their own parking, they will be impressed by your classy gesture
and your event will undoubtedly be the talk of the town for a long
